Galafarm is established in 1991 and ever since, it has noted an evident development. 

In 1991 Galafarm opens a pharmacy in Skopje. From its beginings till today the pharmacy offers a wide range of prescription medicines, OTC’s, cosmetic and baby products. In addition the increased demand for pharmacy made medicines leads to the opening of the Galafarm galenic laboratory in 1993, where liquid and semi-solid preparations were manufactured on a high scale.

The introduction of new products in 1999 resulted in increased sales and a greater domestic market presence of our products.

In 2002, Galafarm takes part in the International quality award ceremony in Geneva where it is awarded with Certificate and Gold Star Award for Quality in Geneva. 
In the same year Galafarm forms its management team. Personnel education is Galafarm’s main objective and the first scholarship in Quality Control of medicine is granted by the company. In addition training for the introduction of a quality system is introduced.

In 2003 Galafarm receives the ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate issued by
the eminent certification organization OQS from Vienna. 

In the same year Galafarm expands outside Macedonia by opening a new company in Serbia with its own warehouse. Today Galafarm DOO Belgrade is a successful company with several employees.

In 2004, Galafarm starts the construction of a new manufacturing site at three levels on an area of 2,500m2. The factory is designed, built and equipped in accordance with the most up-to-date requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the strictest conditions for environmental protection ISO: 14000.

2007 is a successful year for Galafarm especially because it is the first year of working at the new manufacturing site. In January 2007, Galafarm obtains a manufacturing authorization certificate from the Macedonian regulatory agency for production of  pharmaceutical and cosmetic  products in accordance with the Good Manufacturing Practice. 
The number of employees was significantly increased due to the improved organization structure in order to obtain more control over all processes. The Sales of Galafarm’s products in Macedonia and foreign markets were doubled as a result of improved quality products manufactured under strict pharmaceutical and cosmetic conditions in the new facility as well as a well trained marketing and sales representatives.

Today, after 17 years, Galafarm is a successful company with 60 employees, 25% out of which are highly professional pharmacists.
